Outdoor Adventures is very pleased to once again offer a sailing adventure – this time in Scotland aboard the ‘FLYING DUTCHMAN!”

This Three-Mast Tall ship trip will start and end in Oban and take us to the island of Mull and Movern Peninsula, where we will see the most spectacular landscapes in Scotland and enjoy an area that is largely untouched by mass tourism. Also included is the Isle of Jura, well known for its rich stock of red deer and its world-famous whiskey distillery. On this trip we will enjoy the wild scenery of Scotland, its color contrasts and great biodiversity.

Upon arrival at the Edinburgh Airport on August 22nd, we will be met by private transportation and taken to the city of Edinburgh and the hotel Apex Waterloo. We will spend a night in this historic and friendly town where history, (walk the famous Royal Mile to see the fantastic castles) shopping, excellent restaurants abound. We will have a private tour of the city to give us ideas on where we want to spend our relaxing time. On the 23rd, after breakfast we will spend additional time sightseeing before our private transportation picks us up and takes us to the lovely historic seaside town of Oban. There we will check into the Royal Hotel BS to help us get acquainted with this picturesque location, we will have a private tour of the town. On the 24th, we have until 5 p.m. to continue exploring before boarding the Flying Dutchman, docked in the harbor.

Aboard the ship we will have comfortable cabins (double occupancy). The cabins are equipped with a bunk bed, all linens and private tiled baths with an all in one shower, sink and WC. All meals aboard ship are included. There is a lovely dining area where meals will be served as well as ample room for relaxing topside. The boat holds 22 guests. Outdoor Adventures has reserved 12 spots that will be offered on a first-come basis. We have the maximum EBikes reserved (9). Bike rides range from 12-37 miles, are with an English speaking guide, with an emphasis is on enjoying this lovely area.

Tall ships require some additional fitness, for example descending a ladder and leaving the ship aboard a dingy!
