Northern Ireland is an underrated and often overlooked region that surprises visitors with its memorable scenery and friendly people. While it shares an island with the Republic of Ireland, when you cross into Northern Ireland, you're crossing an international border into the United Kingdom. This 8 day guided hiking tour of Northern Ireland will take you from the Irish Lake District of Fermanagh and the Marble Arch Caves Global Geo Park, through the Mid-Ulster heartland of Northern Ireland to Seamus Heaney Country and the Sperrin Mountains. Then traveling further north we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Giants Causeway as we explore the majestic Causeway Coast and then traveling south via the City of Belfast to St. Patricks Country on the shores of Strangford Lough. Finally, we travel to the Kingdom of Mourne and the fabled Mountains of Mourne where the mountains rise from sea to sky.

Your holiday plan has been arranged to include the best of what Northern Ireland has to offer regarding scenery, history, flora and fauna, traditional food and culture. Walking routes are designed with your comfort and safety in mind, ranging between 6 to 9 miles per day. Accommodation is in local family-run bed and breakfasts, small hotels or guesthouses with en-suite baths.

We will fly from Hartford to Dublin, where we will spend a day exploring the Irish capital before moving on to our hiking schedule in Northern Ireland.
