What is Outdoor Adventures?

It's not just a hike, bike or ski trip!

 

Traveling with us an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, to explore the natural world in a safe and enjoyable manner, and to meet new friends with similar interests. Adventures that are challenging or physically demanding are noted, with most of the activities doable whether you are 10 or 75!

 

OUR BIKE RIDES travel at 10 to 12 mph (comfortable for hybrid bikes), with leaders at the front and back of the group, and with periodic rest stops at points of interest (or ice cream!)

 

OUR HIKES always have leaders at the front and back of the group, so no one gets lost or left behind. They provide participants with trail descriptions and directions to meeting places upon registration.

 

OUR MAJOR TRIPS have been thoroughly researched by our leaders, who are complimented by qualified local guides. We offer ‘One Stop Shopping’, with airfare, transfers and fees included. We often travel off the beaten path, where you may not meet other American tourists.

 

OUR VOLUNTEER LEADERS personally evaluate and plan every hike and outdoor program. Leaders are always happy to discuss specific hikes and trips outlined in this brochure to help you choose those appropriate to your fitness level.  Most leaders are experienced hikers, cyclists, and outdoors people, trained by SOLO in Wilderness First Aid and CPR, and trained in Outdoor Leadership Skills by the Appalachian Mountain Club.
